he's probably not going anywhere because the band is happy with him. and you all should get happy about it too damn it!

i have met him. he was the one who introduced himself to me, and he was nothing but really nice. the rest of the band is just like he is....they are all silly, as stated a few times before. now the band can get along, and move on. you all should as well, and just accept him

in all honesty, nothing personal, the more people that tell me to accept him, the more I dont want to. maybe in time, but the fact that right from the first second he was even mentioned, everyone loved him bugs me.

Everybody probably loved him right away cause alot of fans already knew who he was. Quinn was always talking about his band and how much he loved them. Plus I don't think anyone was really shocked about Branden being kicked out....it was obvious that he was the outsider of the band. I really liked the guy but Dan just fits so much better with these guys.

well i dont know about everyone else, but i like him because i know he is a nice guy. and he fits well in the band. which will make everyone else happy, and the band can continue to make music for all of you.
and now they dont have to travel on seperate buses because some like to party, and some dont. it shouldn't bother you. it doesnt mean we like branden any less.

and yes, as stated above, quinn was always talking about Dans old band. so people already knew him before he joined the used. maybe thats where some of that came from.

i don't like drugs, and dan apparently has done drugs like the other members in that band. branden on the other hand, probably never touched drugs or alcohol, since he was straigh edge, and because of that i have the utmost respect for him,

and honestly branden had the awesomest six pack, nobody on this forum can disagree with me on that. and overall we all know that branden is considerably hotter than that of dan.

i'm not saying i don't like dan, in fact i know nothing about him, and probably never will know anything about him.


and yes, i remember quinn talking about the new transit direction many times.

branden never did touch drugs. but just because someone else does, doesn't make them any less of a person. in my opinion. not that the other guys are into drugs....aside from maybe smoking weed and drinking.

Yeah Branden never touched alcohol or drugs and I do respect him for that but I don't think that makes him better than Dan. Plus, the rest of the guys don't do any hard drugs anymore....like Christine said, they pretty much only drink and smoke weed. (which in my opinion isn't that bad...I'm not promoting it but I personally don't see anything wrong with it)

Also, all this "straight edge" stuff doesn't really impress me that much. Remember that Bert and Dan both were "straight edge" when they were younger. I'm pretty sure that Dan even has a huge XXX tattoo on his back. lol

As far as looks go, NONE of the guys do anything for me, except for maybe Jeph but that's because of his personality, not his looks, so I really don't take that into consideration when deciding which drummer I like the best. lol

Really the only thing I feel bad about is the fact that Branden pretty much got the band started and I know it probably hurt him when they got rid of him. But look where he is now....he is playing in his favorite band, so he must be happy, and The Used are definately happier with Dan.

actually, i didnt see branden as an outsider at all, i thought he fit in just fine, and even if people knew dan from his old band, thats completely different, he hasnt done anything with the used and everyone thinks he's great for them, just bc of how he acts? thats kinda dumb in my oppinion. and branden, was kinda weird too... and really, I dont think they minded going out with two buses... jeph was on brandens bus alot so.. and I really have nothing against dan, its just I have no reason to like him or hate him. and people telling me I should love him makes me not want to more and more. Used fanz, I just seen them tonight & no offense to Dan or Jeph, but the rythym section of that band is off tempo on the the old stuff. Whitesides and Jepha don't "gel"
like him and Branden did.

I was actually surprised you even brought looks into it. I was under the impression that you thought stuff like that was something only teenies talked about. haha But personally, I don't see where one is more attrative then the other, or why that should even matter when it comes to picking which drummer is best for The Used.

I didn't really see him as an outsider at first, but that seemed to change when they started rrecording ILAD. When I read interviews with them about making the second cd, Branden talked about the tension that was going on when they were recording it and then when they started touring again, he was in a different bus then the other guys. When they would do interviews with him, I just got the impression that he mostly just wanted to distance himself from the rest of the band.

I understand why you have a hard time liking Dan...I would probably feel the same way if Branden was my favorite drummer. I can't stand it when people try to tell me what I should or shouldn't like, so I kinda know what your feeling. Hopefully in time you will start to feel differently and you'll start to really like Dan.

well like I said before, its nothing against dan personally, its that everyone is telling me to like him. maybe I dont want to. he made me laugh my ass off one time, that doesnt mean I think he's good for the band. I think he's in it for the humor and isnt very serious. Branden, may have been more quiet and all, but I dont think he was trying to distance himself, I think he just didnt like to be surounded with partying all the time which is understandable. and like I said, I think jeph spent alot of time on that bus with him.

why would be in this band for the humor?
if you spent some time with rest of the band.... you would see they are just like Dan is as far as their sense of humor goes.

and jeph....on the first tour which they started with the two buses, spent 7 out of 7 nights (when i was there anyway).... on the party bus. no he's not a hardcore partier.... but the assumption that he spent a lot of time on Branden's bus may not be true.

you don't have to like dan.... but you shouldn't make those assumptions either
