To say im dissapointed is an understatement I didnt think there performance toight could have been any worse than earlier this year at Rock City but I was Wrong.Where do I start?, They only played 7 songs which was basically identical to the same set they played at Rock City.Berts voice just isnt the same anymore screaming is down to a minimum and lost all of his tone. They wasted around 15 minutes of the set with stupid in between song banter when they could have played another 3 songs.Dan the drummer was again all over the place like at Rock City fucking up on at least 3 occasions.5 out of the 7 songs were from LFTL which in my opinion is by far the worst album they have done.Im starting to lose faith in this band back in the day no one could touch them as a live band but now all they do is go through the motions at best. All the other bands played a minimum of 8 songs so why do The Used play the bare minimum.I know Bert has had voice problems this year but when your paying £17 a ticket like I did at Rock City you expect more than 45 minutes if he isnt upto the job then he shouldnt be performing. The days of hearing Maybe Memories,Blue and Yellow,Im a Fake are gonna im afraid nothing on the new album stands upto these songs. The next album is going to be make or break for me im afraid, I knew when Branden left this band were on a downward slope and the last 3 times ive seen them they are proving me right.
i take it you werent at the islington gig then. they werent bad at rock city if your on about the 1st of may gig. bearing in mind i was disapointed at the birmingham taste of chaos. but dont slate dan, he is a good drummer & a really nice person. i first seen the band in jan 05 & yes they have changed but braden leaving has made the band happier so be it. if you were a true fan you would support them through there bad times too. bands change. deal with it.

Dan was the nicest guy ever! I also just wanna thank the guys for lettin me propose on stage it was awesome! and it was fun meeting all the guys from the band, and it was damn cool of Jepha to come for a smoke with us afterwards! THE USED ARE AWESOME!
I disagree with the view that the Leeds gig was shitty...but I appreciate that it was the first time ever I'd seen them so I dont have much to compare it to, maybe they have been much better. They did play a pretty short set though which pissed me off but I did talk to Jepha after the show and he apologised for not playing longer and pointed out that it was out of their control so I forgive that. As for the onstage banter stuff...I'm sure it was amazing for the guys that got to go up there but they could have played at least 2/3 more songs in the time to took to do all that shit! I can only say it was one of the best shows I've EVER been too, I'd had my tix since June and it didnt dissapoint but Bert erm did...though I cant say I expected much more (I've heard all that 'asshole' stuff), I hung around to meet him for hours before and after the show and the most I saw or heard was that he'd dashed in and out of the bus avoiding everyone but thats just the way he is I guess...I'm sure everyone deals with the fame thing in different ways. Its lucky the rest of the guys are saints...Dan, Quinn and Jepha were AMAZING, they took time to talk, sign things and take pics at every oppurtunity...they made my day and probably my entire life! Even though if Bert is or has been an asshole, even continues to be in the future...I dont think I even care cos really its about the music, thats what we're all there for and I know that as soon as they hit the stage I was in complete awe...I cant wait for next time! XD
Nah the whole band were awesome, the reason Bert didnt meet many of the fans was because the bus was supposed to Leave at midnight and they still stayed 40 minutes late and Bert was the last on the bus, because he was trying to make a fan speak in an american accent, Jeph was the star, he just couldnt say no to anyone, but Bert did sign a few autographs and took a few photos.
well they only played a short set because they dont control what time they go on to stage at. plus alot of people seem to forget there is a 11pm curfew in the UK for gigs for under 18 shows! berts just bert, ive come to the conclusion ill probably never get ot meet him

Dan probably is a nice guy but trust me im a drummer and know when a drummer fucks up and he did on more than one occasion.Fair enough if you havent seen the band at there peak then no you havent got anything to compare them to but trust me if you had you would no what im talking about(one word SAY DAYS AGO!).Thirdly to the guy who proposed to his girlfriend there was a rumour going round where we were stood that you did the same at a funeral for a friend gig hope thats not true.
i didnt get to meet quinn i smiled at him though and he smiled back he also popped his head out the tour bus and some guy shouted out that i wanted to fuck bert mc cracken which isnt true so i felt embarassed and pissed off about that for saying that to quinn
I'll be the first to hold my hands up and say this wasnt their best performance ever, BUT I wont ever slate that. All of the guys apologised for being so tired and worn out, but its a hard job. Every band fucks up once in a while, you cant blame them, i mean the Gallows had to start Abandon Ship all over again because they messed up, but it wasnt a bad set.
Bert didnt 'dash in or out' but they were on a 'tight schedule' end of, not just for the show. I just appreciate that they got out there and played, did what they could with the time given. All in all not their best, but still worthwhile, they're good guys, better role models than they let on i think. xo

I was at the leeds show and The Used played ok but were let down by the organisation on the night. They came on 15 mins late and had to cut probably 3 songs out because of this.
I've seen them 8 times over the space of 4 years allover the UK and they are gradually getting poorer and poorer each time I see them.
I wish I could see the band on a headline tour on their own with no attactments to the likes of Give It A Name or Taste of Chaos. Every time I have seen them since 2005 they have been on a festival/supporting tour.
They need to tour on their own asap or else i'm going to start losing interest. Also, get rid of the Taste Of Ink/All That I've Got/Buried Medly, it blows.
PLAY MORE OLD SONGS

I would agree with you man, but my mate got their set list from them, they played what songs they were down to play, no more, no less. Shame really, as the 'headliners' i expected longer.. i dont think they played any longer than RA though.. *shrug* Good times anyway.
