i don't know if youse know but a 13 year old girl hung herself because she was following an "emo cult" or whatever it was.
This makes me feel bad for my chemical romance, becuse it seem that they get the blame for so much. it's not fair for them to get pin pointed because a girl killed herself. it's not asif mcr made her.

here's the article:
http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/news/article-23482961-det...rock+band/article.do

what do you guys think?

i know it's not funny at all but this part at the end did make me laugh...
"The Black Parade is a nickname for the place where Emo fans believe they will go when they die."

what I think is, if they want to blame someone it shouldnt be my chem, if anything they should be thanking my chem, they have been anti suicide for a long time and made sure all of their good fans knew that.

This really saddens me. It's the usual press guff, totalyy skirting the issue of a young girl who was distressed enough to end her life. Can no one conceive that some people are drawn to this type of music because thet are already hurting and can identify with it, and not the other way around? On the other hand, I see lots of "emos" hanging around the town centre, laughing and fooling around like anyone else. No scars or frowns. Some poor souls will kill themselves whatever music they are into. We just have to except this. It's the responsibility of those around them to try to help them, but I wonder what kind of help you could expect from a parent who is ready to blame a fahion rather than ask themself what the real issues may have been.

Sorry for the essay. I feel strongly about this.

This sucks!
I mean, My Chem should not get any blame with some cult whatsoever. Unless they started it, which they wouldnt because they dont like "Emo". My Chem are 100% anti suicide. I really feel sorry for the girl who hung herself, that is so sad.

Here we go again! Stupid, misinformed idiots spreading misinformation to yet more idiots. Poor girl. But how is this My Chem's fault? The journalist must surely know how rediculous this article sounds, especially that end line (yep, it's pretty funny!), but a whole bunch of people are gonna belive it! Is the world stupid or something?!

They're marching from Hyde Park round pond (which is actaully in Kensington Gardens) to the offices of the Daily Mail in Derry Street, off Kensington High Street, London. Seeing as I'm just down the road and I hate when newspapers do that kinda thing, I'm gonna go. It's on May 31st, meet at 9:30 - 10:00am. Even my best friend wants to go and she hates My Chem!

Its all pretty sad, and I feel horrible for the band, but people are too fuckin stupid to classify MCR as an "emo" band even though their lyrics clearly state "..I am not afraid to keep on living.." etc.. Its not MCRs fault that she killed herself and they shouldn't put the blame on the band.

not mcr's fault, the girl had problems.
you cant blame someone for doing something stupid like that. wow. emo isnt like that anyways anymore, thats what gothic ppl do.
it is sad that she couldnt seek help. but its still not mcrs fault. poor guys gotta feel guilty for it, it could have been any band, like a7x, or somthing worse. its still not their fault. its hers.
besides she told her parents about how she cut her wrists, well!! why didnt they do anything about it?? hello thats not normal!!!

thats pretty fucking stupid if you ask me, and it pisses me off. stupid kids.

what has mcr being classed as emo got to do with it?

because they have a lyric saying "i'm not afraid to keep on living..."?

i don't get it...how does that make them un-emo?

do you think that "emo" bands make people kill themself, but mcr isn't one of them?

what would you classify as emo?

i don't really get the definition of emo anyways, i've heard all the ways where it has come from +these days emo music isn't actually the original emo music blah blah...+kids who listen to nowadays "emo" music insist that it isn't emo coz that's obviously dead offensive...
it's kinda stupid, +i don't really care. i just wanted to say that.

i'm not trying to start an arguement i'm just curious, hense the 92873910830questions.

Yeah I know what u mean..
well in the article that she joined the "emo cult" or whatever that is and in another article they said that the main thing the people listened to was MCR.. so yeah

and I dont really think emo is offensive, i just dont think anyone should classify it with music. idk.

It was fun! There weren't that many of us, maybe 50? We parked ourselves outside Daily Mail's building and sang and chanted at them all day. Even the police and journos had to laugh when we started singing Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life and If You're Happy And You Know It! Plus, I think I managed to avoid getting filmed, so I'm happy about that.

I think that thing that died, deserved it. If your going to be fake, and your going to be that idiotic to hang yourself for no apparent reason- GOOD. Because some of the kids that do that, for a reason- should be here. But those who do that, I'm glad.

MCR is my favorite band, and no I'm not gonna say " THEY SAVED MY LIFE" because THEY HAVEN'T. But the fact that they preach about how they are FOR LIFE. and AGAINST DEPRESSION. Which is also what I stand for, WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU BLAME THEM?

Obviously this person has no common sense and is better off gone.

If you have a problem with that- Don't b*tch to me about it. Its my opinion.
